At High Island there is a short hike around the lake and over a berm to another lake with an island in the middle.. this island serves as a rookery for Roseate spoonbills and Egrets of all kinds..hundreds of birds..

We Cross the Houston Ship Channel on the ferry between Galveston Island and the Bolivar Peninsula its a great crossing where we typically see a lot of birds and dolphins.. also.. Lots of ships..
