Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge

May 3, 2013  |  Birds

Situated right along the Rio Grande River with great views into Mexico, Santa Ana NWR is a Gem in the USA! They are however experiencing one of the most significant droughts in the last 100 years.. its really looking tough. What is normally a jungle looks more like a Hill country area…Still we saw the mighty Rio Grande with its little trails on the Mexico side leading down to the water. Heck, My cell phone even jumped over to the Tel Cel network in Mexico.
