The Endangered Golden cheek Warbler

June 13, 2012 by Dogger

I got pretty lucky here, and even after a bit of a late start Hiking the Balconies canyon lands National wildlife preserve, I spotted the famously endangered Golden cheek warbler for which all of the 30,000 + acres are set aside for. I was on the Warbler Vista trail right outside Jonestown on this hike. I came across a momma and her baby..and snapped a shot of mom bringing back a little food. I wish the shots were crisper but I had the adrenaline pumping and it was tough to stay still. Awesome day to see this magnificent bird and be able to photograph it.
