We were able to get a bit closer to 2 birds browsing on a small inland pond, its easy to see each bird has been banded and set up with a tracking device..these man made objects on the legs of the birds did not seem to interfere with anything they were doing.. but it was very obvious every Whooping crane is known and accounted for..
