Industrialized and South of Houston lies Port Lavaca on the Gulf of Mexico. Its key to Oil refining and on the international shipping channel and also home to some pretty decent birding..On the day we stopped by we only saw some of the usual suspects, Herons and Egrets..and it was eerily calm and quiet..
