Where do Geese go in the Winter?

Indianola..Indianola Texas  a ghost town east of Port Lavaca that is.. we saw swarms of White fronted and snow geese, so many it almost seemed to blot out the sky… Black necked stilts and Avocets, and Ibis were also plentiful once we got back down near the ocean.
