One of the Larger Refuges on the Laguna Madre.. The American Ocelot still runs free. We never saw this little guy who resembles a leopard, but it felt great to be a in wild place where that kind of animal can still roam.
Between the Mainland and S. Padre Island lies a big and shallow bay… Laguna Madre!
You asked for it, You got it! This Friday we have a guest post featuring Jen’s shots of our New little man in the clan.. Chuck. He is doing great! Chuck recognizes his name very well and comes when called. He is a nutty little guy and liked to tumble around alot. So far everyone is having a blast with the little guy!

Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge.. This was our first glimpse of the Rio Grande and Old Mexico on the other side.. we also saw some spots where folks had Swam across and left some clothing as they changed and tried to mingle in.

Choke Canyon Reservoir in S. Texas..Blustery day for Texas in these shots….then Jen Visits a giant Heron and on the bottom..an Alligator Gar from the Rio Grande River..
I had a few more shots from our trip to Galveston and High Island..These are actually from Anahuac National Wildlife refuge we hit on the way home from High Island.. great spot!
