Sometimes called the Mexican Eagle, the Crested Caracara is like a vulture and helps keep our planet clean..When you see him flying by he can be mistaken for a Bald eagle in an instant, but after a look he is pretty easy to identify.. also shown here the White and Glossy Ibis from the wetlands we were visiting.
Along the coastal wetlands it was drier than normal so we were able to see some Heron tracks in the drying mud.. reminded us of dinosaurs!
We walked around to some of the public docks looking for some birds…The Coastal Oak trees are amazing..bent to the prevailing winds after 100’s of years of on shore breeze…
Jen and I won a trip at an auction for Travis Audubon to Rockport Texas! Condo and Boat trip to see Whooping Cranes.. here is the view from our Condo..
On a cold Saturday morning Jen and I went to the newly remodeled LBJ presidential library.. its really nice!
Well the weekend is upon us.. and it was very cold last night but we expect temps to rebound into the 70’s this weekend.. what better time than the weekend to get out and have a drink..
Looking up at the Dome on the inside is fantastic.. I don’t think pictures can do it justice..
All around the capitol are monuments, folks remembering the battles and events that lead up the the great state of Texas!
While Mike and Kathy and Family were in town, we visited the capitol and looked around..
