Fall has arrived, maybe, Lets just say we had a couple of nice cool days and evenings…the change really makes a person think back to the summer and a beautiful day at the lake.. water temp was about 80 degrees.. 100 degrees outside.. no wind…and the pups rolling on the beach!

Located near Bastrop Texas the Colorado River Refuge is a nice little hike with some fun features..
Jen and I had volunteered for the Travis Audubon, and the pay off was a private hike on the famous Shield Ranch. The largest private tract of land in Travis county. Its an amazing place and they are doing a great job of keeping it the way it was 100 years ago..
Now that we have been living in our place for a while, we are slowly working on little projects to improve the house.. Just recently we had the masonry in the fireplace fixed up and we got a new Gas log system with a remote for ” click” instant fire.. we selected the Split Texas bonfire as our log and look for the fire…and Kudo’s to Capitol Chimney for a great job..
