After a long trip to Montana, we stayed our first night at the famous Kandahar Lodge! Wonderful Accommodations!
I took these shots up in Montana at the Glacier grill and Pizza in Columbia Falls, and Serrano’s in East Glacier.. both are great!
After the Snake encounter I headed over to the railroad bridge.. and saw a little deer along the way..
Exploring other worlds…Actually just a few Macro shots of a very old log..I never really travelled to any Alien planets..that I can talk about..
Red Meets black…Friend of Jack…The Old Rhyme to help identify the venomous Coral Snake which you can see a lot of in Texas if you keep your eyes open.. I whispered this rhyme to myself as I got just a little to close to this guy on the trail near the Colorado river.. the habitat was perfect.. nice warm waters.. long grass.. unsuspecting prey like me running around…
Texas has its Colorado river and it makes a long trip from west Texas to the Gulf coast bringing water to a lot of key cities.. but it could never be confused with The Colorado River which is the life blood of the West.. and rolls through so many great places.. The Texas version does provide some wonderful Paddling trails and great little Day beaches like this one near Bastrop.
Well this week I have a few random shots from all over the place.. 2 from the convenience store down in Ed Couch Texas.. in the valley..and some others from around Austin…
First up was the Cottonwood Kings trail, which got its name from the massive cottonwood trees lining the bank of the Colorado river..Saw a nice swallow tail butterfly also!
I took a trip to Bastrop County and walked the Colorado River Preserve trail system, a very warm day I got out early!
Took these shots on the Shield Ranch in Western Travis county.. but they make me think of a HOT summer day in central Texas, up in the hill country on the Savannah, walking along in 101 degree heat.. just having a great day!
